Alumni are uniquely qualified to provide umbrellas of support to our youth. Many of us are First Generation College students that did not always receive the support needed to navigate the challenging world of post-secondary education. A mentor can mean the difference between a student completing their college degree or dropping out. We want to do all we can to prevent that from happening.
We are looking for Rainey Day Foundation Mentors to:
- Assist high school seniors with questions about college
- Offer advice on career paths
- Talk through any concerns and doubt.
- Check on them while in college.
- Encourage them.
- Set up scheduled one on one time.
- Coordinate Rainey Day Foundation Grant applications
Our students are looking for us to guide them. Therefore, we are also providing an avenue for other professionals looking for ways to give back to their community. Will you answer their call? We welcome professionals and recent college graduates to support and guide our students as they navigate up the road to success.
As a Rainey Day Foundation Mentor, your professional experience can be a students’ first look into the professional world and give them valuable insight into their field of study. We will provide you with the tools necessary to stay in contact with your mentee and keep the lines of communication open. We got you covered.
